Introducing WatchTowers: daily regulatory monitoring for exactly what you track

WatchTowers is a new Myriad feature that turns any regulation, jurisdiction, regulator, or topic into an always-on watch. Describe what to track once, in everyday language, and Myriad checks every relevant source each day, then surfaces only what's new and relevant, with a short note on why it matters. WatchTowers is live now inside the Myriad platform, built on the same monitoring engine behind Horizon Scanning.

Why regulatory monitoring hasn't kept up

Most legal and compliance teams still rely on weekly digests, monthly summaries, or manually checking a regulator's website for changes. By the time something relevant surfaces in a roundup, it's often weeks old, arriving alongside dozens of other updates that don't apply to the team's work. WatchTowers was built to close that gap: instead of digging through a digest to find what matters, you see it the moment it happens, already flagged, already explained.

Introducing: WatchTowers

A watchtower is a saved, always-on monitoring rule. You describe what you care about in everyday language, for example "Every update to the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)" or "changes to BaFin's MaRisk requirements" and Myriad classifies every incoming regulatory event against that description.

Each watchtower shows relevant events as they land, flagged by AI, with a short "Why relevant?" note and a link back to the original source. Nothing is filtered silently.

Shows 36 relevant events, all AI-judged, including court decisions and draft legislation such as amendments to the Czech Civil Code, sorted newest first.

How WatchTowers works

  • Describe what you track, a jurisdiction, a regulator, a topic, or one named regulation, whatever level of detail the work calls for
  • Myriad checks daily, not weekly or monthly, every relevant source, every time
  • You see what matters, new items land in your watchtower as they come in, each with a plain explanation of why it got flagged

Watchtowers are immutable once created. If your tracking criteria need to change, you duplicate and adjust rather than edit in place, keeping a clear record of what was tracked, and when.

Built on Horizon Scanning

WatchTowers runs on the same monitoring engine behind Myriad's regulatory intelligence platform, already reviewing over 150,000 regulatory events a day across more than 67,000 official sources and 200+ jurisdictions worldwide. It's a sharper way to use the intelligence Myriad already builds every day, scoped precisely to what a specific team, or a specific person, needs to see.

Who WatchTowers is for

WatchTowers helps legal and compliance teams: law firms advising clients across regulated markets, in-house legal teams tracking obligations across every jurisdiction their business operates in, and compliance teams juggling multiple regulators and topics at once. If you've ever missed something relevant because it was buried in a digest or never even showed up in it, this was built for you.

WatchTowers is live now inside Myriad. Existing users can create their first watchtower today. If you're new to Myriad, schedule a demo to see it in action.
